Continuing with an exciting session in Carmel, Indiana, the men’s 200 breaststroke saw two records fall as Caspar Corbeau and Leon Marchand battled for the gold.
Corbeau got out ahead of Marchand at the 50, just 0.19 seconds off WR pace as he pulled into the lead. Though Marchand attempted to reel-in his former Texas training partner, Corbeau was able to hold on for the gold in a time of 2:01.63 to secure his second victory of the meet after also taking home gold in the 100 breast.
For Corbeau, that time marks a new U.S. Open Record, taking down Cody Miller‘s mark of 2:02.33 from the 2015 Duel in the Pool, which was also held in Indy. However, Corbeau’s mark fell just .20 shy of breaking Arno Kamminga‘s Dutch Record of 2:01.43 that was set back in 2020. Earlier in the meet, Corbeau notched his first individual national record, besting Kamminga’s mark in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 25.78.
Though Marchand settled for his third minor medal of the meet with his runner-up performance, he still bettered his own French Record in the event with his final time of 2:02.00. Previously, his record stood at a 2:02.99 from October of last year. Marchand, the defending Olympic Champion in the LCM version of this event, has been slightly off-form this week in Indy. However, a new personal best and national record is a strong performance for the Frenchman.

President Donald Trump on Sunday warned Russia that he may send Ukraine long-range Tomahawk missiles if Moscow doesn’t settle its war there soon — suggesting that he could be ready to increase the pressure on Vladimir Putin’s government using a key weapons system.
“I might say, ’Look: if this war is not going to get settled, I’m going to send them Tomahawks,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One as he flew to Israel. “The Tomahawk is an incredible weapon, very offensive weapon. And honestly, Russia does not need that.”
Trump said, “I might tell them that if the war is not settled — that we may very well.” He added, “We may not, but we may do it. I think it’s appropriate to bring up.”
His comments came after Trump spoke by phone earlier Sunday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and Trump said he mentioned possibly sending Tomahawks during that conversation.
“Do they want to have Tomahawks going in that direction? I don’t think so,” Trump said of Russia. “I think I might speak to Russia about that.” He added that “Tomahawks are a new step of aggression.”
His suggestions followed Russia having attacked Ukraine’s power grid overnight, part of an ongoing campaign to cripple Ukrainian energy infrastructure before winter. Moscow also expressed “extreme concern” over the U.S. potentially providing Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine.
Putin himself has previously suggested that the United States supplying long-range missiles to Ukraine will seriously damage relations between Moscow and Washington.
For his part, Zelenskyy described his latest call with Trump as “very productive,” and said the pair had discussed strengthening Ukraine’s “air defense, resilience, and long-range capabilities,” along with “details related to the energy sector.”
Trump in recent weeks has taken a notably tougher tact with Putin, after the Russian leader has declined to engage in direct talks with Zelenskyy about easing fighting.
Last month, Trump announced that he now believes Ukraine could win back all the territory lost to Russia — a dramatic shift from the Republican’s repeated calls for Kyiv to make concessions to end Russia’s war in Ukraine.
But the U.S. president, at least so far, has resisted Zelenskyy’s calls for Tomahawks. The weapon system would allow Ukraine to strike deeper into Russian territory and put the sort of pressure on Putin that Zelenskyy argues is needed to get the Russians to seriously engage in peace talks.
Trump said aboard Air Force One of the war: “I really think Putin would look great if he got this settled” and that “It’s not going to be good for him” if not.
One of the simplest truck camper designs we’ve seen, the Grumpy Bear Arctos Sport arrives looking like a toadstool chopped in half, or a teardrop trailer body on a pedestal. However you look at it, that simple form allows the camper to fit neatly in the pickup bed, without an over-cab alcove hanging off, giving buyers a transformable interior meant for sleeping, eating and relaxing through the evenings. It even has a standing height interior and a 4-season construction meant to stand up to Old Man Winter.
Since we last looked at Grumpy Bear’s converted Spacekap camper, the Ohio company has been diligently working on its Arctos pickup camper lineup. The Arctos Sport was the first model to launch in 2024, and it’s since added a fuller sized Arctos model.
While the larger Arctos features a more traditional pickup camper design with sleeper alcove, the Arctos Sport brings Grumpy Bear into the small, select group of builders brave enough to go it without an alcove or expansion system, building the entire fully hard-sided camper floor plan over top the truck bed. From the rear, the Arctos Sport’s particular design gives it the unique look of a button mushroom chopped in half. From the side or front 3/4 view, it looks more like a wheel-less teardrop trailer body riding on the rails of the pickup bed.
Grumpy Bear
Unlike the discontinued TC Teardrops Truck Camper, the Arctos Sport isn’t literally a teardrop body dropped inside the walls of a truck bed. Instead, it features a pedestal-like base that sits in the bed, with sides that flare out beyond the pickup bed to add extra interior volume. It stays within the width of the side mirrors but packs in some serious extra room by extending out beyond the truck’s sheet metal, much like the recently announced Aliner Switchback does with its expandable A-frame-like design.
The $12,000 Arctos Sport DIY base model comes as an empty 693-lb (314-kg) fiberglass shell without any furnishings. It includes the white gelcoat fiberglass camper shell, entry door, two side windows, ratchet straps for tying down to the truck, and 2,000-lb manual jack stands. Buyers are on their own in outfitting the interior beyond that.
Those looking for something equipped to camp straight out of the lot can opt up to the standard package. Grumpy Bear takes advantage of the expanded volume of the Arctos Sport’s tall vertical sidewalls in giving it an interior that looks more inviting than the Switchback’s, though it’s laid out quite similarly.
Grumpy Bear
The Arctos Sport cabin features a two-bench lounge area with removable Lagun table. The tall window on the rear entry door and two sidewall windows open the space up and keep it from feeling too claustrophobic. At roughly 6 feet 2.5 in (1.9 m) high, the interior is tall enough for most people to stand up without crouching, though taller folks will have to bend a bit.
At night, the dinette converts over into the 53 x 74-in (135 x 188-cm) double bed that runs transversely. That again means folks taller than 6 foot 2 will be bending their knees – we reckon this particular camper is probably best avoided for anyone in that taller height range.
Grumpy Bear
Grumpy Bear also offers the option of a Disc-O-Bed cot that can mount over top the bed and serve as a third sleeping berth – a little snug for sure, but for a family of three, why not? Other campers and tents can certainly be quite snug, too.
The standard kit also has several floor and overhead storage solutions, including a front cabinet housing the 16,000-BTU furnace that helps the camper perform comfortably through winter. A 10-speed roof vent brings air in when things get stuffy, and a roof-mounted air conditioner is available as an option. Grumpy Bear also includes a shore-power electrical hookup with converter and 110-V/USB outlet station.
The base Arctos Sport Standard prices in at $20,000 and weighs 1,102 lb (500 kg). Grumpy Bear offers a number of additional options, including a lithium battery, a 53-L Dometic electric fridge, a portable toilet, the aforementioned cot and air conditioner, up to 400 watts of solar, and remote-controlled electric jacks.

BBCIn Bucksnort, Tennessee, residents have spent a chilly autumn night heeding a simple message spraypainted on a concrete barrier by the side of the road: “Pray for the AES families”.
Community members gathered on Saturday for a candlelit vigil outside the Maple Valley Baptist Church after a blast at local explosives factory Accurate Energetic Systems (AES) left 16 people presumed dead.
This community of Hickman and Humphreys Counties is “not huge, so that’s a lot of people to lose in an instant,” Deacon Danny Bates said to the approximately 40 attendees, who comforted each other and sang hymns such as “It Is Well With My Soul”.
“It was just another day at work, and then in an instant, they were gone. We have unanswered questions”.

Vigil-goer Jerri Newcombe said her friend of more than 20 years was among the victims. The two met when Newcombe’s granddaughter and the victim’s daughter became close as little girls.
“They grew up together – we were in each other’s homes,” Newcombe told the BBC at the vigil. “We celebrated birthdays together. It’s just surreal, because she’s gone and her babies are hurting,” she said, referring to the victim’s children and grandchildren.
Local police have not publicly identified any of the unaccounted-for victims, who authorities presume have all been killed.
Her friend was “full of life”, Ms Newcombe said. “She was the type of person that could make you laugh over anything, but you didn’t cross her either, or she would tear into you,” Ms. Newcombe added amid tears and laughter, as her granddaughter comforted her.
Bucksnort is a close-knit town where the cell service is spotty and a gas station – adorned with a Confederate flag centrepiece – is the local watering hole, residents say. This tragedy has hit the area hard as the community mourns family, friends, neighbours and coworkers.
The town had been holding out hope for good news after the explosion on Friday morning shook homes across the area, clouded the skies with smoke and drew a surge of hundreds of state and national first responders to an otherwise sleepy community tucked behind forests along a busy motorway.
But after nearly two days with no sign of survivors and the explosion site still considered dangerous for first responders, even the previously optimistic Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis said the time had come to switch to a recovery – rather than rescue – strategy.
“At some point in time, we have got to rip off the Band-Aid,” Davis, who has held back tears at news conferences, said. “We are dealing with remains.”
Hickman County Sheriff Jason Craft told the BBC on Saturday night that rapid DNA analysis was still ongoing, but that after a search by 300 first responders, authorities had enough confidence in their assessment of the scene to notify families that their loved ones were likely deceased.
No cause of the blast has yet been identified, and agents from the national Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) are investigating. It could take as long as a month for federal investigators to reach the main site of the explosion, ATF official Brice McCracken told the BBC.
The volatile nature of the explosive materials has also hampered the emergency response, officials said, as controlled detonations to render the site safe are also expected in the coming days.
Tiffany Story says her cousin was also among the victims, along with four other people that she knew, including someone she once used to babysit for.
“Everybody knows everybody here,” an emotional Mrs Story told the BBC. “With everybody being so close, it’s very comforting to have family. That’s what we are – whether [by] blood, not blood, this whole community is family.”
“There’s probably never gonna be any answers” to the tragedy, she said.
Janie Brown said she also knew victims at the site. “They were loved by their families and by the community,” she said outside another prayer vigil at the Hurricane Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in nearby McEwen.
“It’s just a sad, sad day,” she said.
Residents told the BBC the Accurate Energetic Systems (AES) company employed about 80 workers, and is one of the only private well-paying jobs around in these counties. For many here, the plant was known as a reliable first job for themselves or close friends.
A recent job opening advertised a $19-per-hour salary for an entry-level manual labour job, more than double the state’s minimum wage of $7.25.
The factory has seen other difficulties, but none at such a scale as this.
In 2014, an explosion at the company killed one person, and a 2019 workplace safety inspection led to relatively minor financial penalties, which the company settled, according to online records.
Residents who spoke to the BBC had mostly positive feelings towards the company, and local police say they had no previous reports of unsafe working conditions.
Hurricane Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Pastor Tim Ferris praised his congregation’s response to the tragedy.
“One thing about a small community is that when something like this happens, they rally around each other, and they come close to be the hands and the feet of Jesus, to administer to these people, to care for them, provide for them.
And that’s a wonderful thing,” he said.

Torrential flooding has continued to sweep parts of central and southeastern Mexico, raising the death toll to at least 44 people in less than a week.
Heavy downpours caused by two tropical storms have triggered landslides and flooding across five states, including Veracruz, Puebla, Hidalgo, Queretaro and San Luis Potosi, the government said in a statement on Sunday.

Floods have killed 18 people in Veracruz state, 16 in Hidalgo, nine in Puebla and one in Queretaro, the statement said.
Mexico’s El Universal newspaper put the death toll even higher — at 48 — and reported that dozens remain missing.
Around 320,000 people have experienced power outages, and at least 16,000 homes have been damaged, according to authorities, who fear that more landslides and overflowing rivers could exacerbate the damage.
President Claudia Sheinbaum said the military has been mobilised to help with rescue operations and aid distributions. “We will not leave anyone without support,” she said in a post on X.
Photos posted by the military showed people being evacuated by soldiers with life rafts, homes flooded with mud, and rescue workers trudging through waist-high waters.
Mexico has been hit by particularly heavy rains this year, and Mexico City recorded its rainiest June in more than two decades.
Authorities have attributed the latest deadly downpours to the remnants of Hurricane Priscilla and Tropical Rainstorm Raymond, both of which dumped heavy rains on Mexico’s west.
The remnants of Raymond, with wind gusts now at 45km/hr (28mph), were expected to hit the southern part of Baja California on Sunday.

At least 27 people have been killed in fierce clashes between Hamas security forces and armed members of the Dughmush family in Gaza City, in one of the most violent internal confrontations since the end of major Israeli operations in the enclave.
Masked Hamas gunmen exchanged fire with clan fighters near the city’s Jordanian hospital, witnesses said.
A senior official in the Hamas-run interior ministry said security units surrounded them and engaged in heavy fighting to detain them. The ministry said eight its members were killed in “an armed assault by a militia”.
Medical sources said 19 Dughmush clan members and eight Hamas fighters had been killed since fighting began on Saturday.
Eyewitnesses said the clashes erupted in the Tel al-Hawa neighbourhood in southern Gaza City after a Hamas force of more than 300 fighters moved to storm a residential block where Dughmush gunmen were entrenched.
Residents described scenes of panic as dozens of families fled their homes under heavy gunfire, many of them displaced multiple times during the war.
“This time people weren’t fleeing Israeli attacks,” one resident said. “They were running from their own people.”
The Dughmush family, one of Gaza’s most prominent clans, has long had a tense relationship with Hamas, and its armed members have clashed with the group on several occasions in the past.
The Hamas-run interior ministry said its forces were seeking to restore order, warning that “any armed activity outside the framework of the resistance” would be dealt with firmly.
Both sides traded accusations over who was responsible for triggering the clashes.
Hamas earlier said Dughmush gunmen killed two of its fighters and wounded five others, prompting the group to launch an operation against them.
However, a source from the Dughmush family told local media that Hamas forces had come to a building that once served as the Jordanian Hospital, where the family had taken refuge after their homes in the al-Sabra neighbourhood were destroyed in the recent Israeli attack.
The source claimed that Hamas sought to evict the family from the building to establish a new base for its forces there.
Hamas has recalled about 7,000 members of its security forces to reassert control over areas of Gaza recently vacated by Israeli troops, according to local sources.
Reports suggest armed Hamas units have already deployed across several districts, some wearing civilian clothes and others in the blue uniforms of the Gaza police. The Hamas media office denied it was deploying “fighters in the streets”.
